TRAINING
The NMGIA is committed to providing affordable training year-round, relevant to New Mexico's growing security threat concerns, either in person or online. Should you miss a training date, become a member to access our training catalog to provide the course information you are interested in and submit an online training request. The training request form is available to members only in the Member Menu. Additionally, members may request training on a specific topic not already offered and/or a custom tailored curriculum.
As part of our mission to better educate our membership, the NMGIA board may waive any training registration fees in exchange for contributions to the NMGIA knowledge base. Contact us for more information on how to receive training at no cost! This option is only afforded to members who have been in good standing for at least one (1) year.
Select training topics count towards our Professional Certification Program. Attendees receive a training certificate for each course they attend. Members who complete one (1) training/meeting event a month, including the annual training/meeting are eligible to receive a 100% off coupon on one (1) item from the NMGIA store.
HOSTED TRAINING RATES
Host us at your agency to receive discounted rates. As part of our mission to establish a closer coordinated relationship among our membership, we seek to hold training events in a different region each month in conjunction with our monthly meetings.
INCENTIVES
- Membership is included in training registration fees for the first year.
- Members receive reduced registration fees for training.
- Hosting agencies receive training at no cost and receive reduced membership fees for the first year.
- Members who are employed by a hosting agency receive training at no cost.
- Hosting agencies receive a certificate of appreciation and are recognized on all association platforms and the monthly newsletter.

REGULAR TRAINING RATES
Non-member training attendees receive membership for the first year. Members receive discounted training registration fees. At each non-hosted training event, members are afforded the opportunity to compete for a 100% training registration fee reimbursement. The attending member who refers the highest amount of attendees will be fully reimbursed or may use it towards the next available training.
